Blog
Connect articles across your blog. The agent discovers the section, separates content from archive pages and maps existing links. Include service pages only when they are part of the agreed scope.
Your pages in. Useful connections out.
Give your AI agent a website and a linking task. It suggests internal links based on existing content and returns exact paragraph edits. The skill guides the AI through relevant internal linking opportunities, anchor text and destination checks. You see where every suggestion goes before anything changes.
Instructions, a semantic review reference and a proposal validator, with agreed release documentation. The package defines how the agent investigates and checks a link suggestion.
A website inventory, contextual link suggestions, exact before-and-after paragraphs, rejected candidates and a review report. These are outputs of a run, not a prebuilt list of links.
Choose the scope. The agent does the discovery, reads both pages and records its evidence. You provide the website, priorities and permission boundaries, not a manually prepared list of every possible link.
Connect articles across your blog. The agent discovers the section, separates content from archive pages and maps existing links. Include service pages only when they are part of the agreed scope.
Find outgoing links from the selected article and incoming links to it from other articles. The agent checks existing content links so it does not recommend the same source-to-target pair again.
Find blog paragraphs that can naturally lead to a selected service page. A commercial destination is useful only when its offer answers the reader’s next question. The agent rejects a forced sales link.
Teaching example for an auto-repair website. These sample URLs and paragraphs are illustrative, not a live audit, verified client result or measured SEO improvement.
A persistent warning light needs diagnosis before you decide whether engine repair is necessary.
A persistent warning light needs diagnosis before you decide whether engine repair is necessary.
Anchor text: engine repair
The reader moves from a symptom to the service that handles a confirmed repair need. In this teaching example the destination explains repair scope; diagnosis is not presented as proof that repair is required.
Fuel-system faults and mechanical damage can produce similar symptoms. A diagnosis should identify the cause first.
Fuel-system faults and mechanical damage can produce similar symptoms. A diagnosis should identify the cause first. If a mechanical fault is confirmed, explore diesel engine repair and the work it may involve.
Anchor text: diesel engine repair
The original paragraph stays intact. The declared added sentence introduces a specific next step without claiming every diesel symptom needs a repair. The real destination must support this scope before approval.
An engine diagnosis helps identify the cause of the warning light.
An engine diagnosis helps identify the cause of the warning light.
Anchor text: engine diagnosis
Rejected: the proposed anchor promises engine diagnosis, while the destination is air-conditioning work. Sharing an automotive topic or city does not make the transition useful. No link is inserted.
A defined internal linking strategy starts with real pages, not invented URLs. The workflow separates discovery, link placement, review and authorized implementation so you can inspect what happened.
Supply the domain or a readable export, choose blog, article or service mode and identify any key pages. Set exclusions, language and access limits. Search Console data can help prioritize work, but is not required to read and connect relevant content.
It discovers URLs through sitemaps, section navigation and pagination, then records what was actually read. It extracts main content, headings, paragraphs and current links, separating editorial links from navigation and footer links. Blocked pages remain coverage gaps.
It analyzes source context and target content, then proposes a natural anchor and a precise insertion point. It checks target status, canonical and index directives, existing pairs and paragraph preservation. A broken link or unverified destination is not a ready recommendation.
Receive an export with before and after, the destination evidence, rationale and status. Approve, revise or reject each suggestion. Implementation needs separate permission and appropriate site access; after publishing, the agent checks the public href and visible anchor.
An AI-powered link assistant can find matching phrases. This skill asks a harder question: will the visitor understand the transition and find what the anchor promises? Technical validation and editorial judgment are different checks.
The agent reads the source paragraph, heading and surrounding context, then the actual destination. It records evidence for the target’s intent rather than inferring a service from the URL. Semantic relevance is a reason to investigate, not automatic approval.
Compare the obvious alternatives: a specific service, an overview, an article or no link. The reason should explain the reader’s next action. A new page does not deserve an unrelated link simply because you want to improve its visibility.
When suitable anchor text already exists, wrap those words in a normal HTML link. The validator checks the original paragraph, markup and existing links. If context is genuinely missing, declare one added sentence separately rather than silently rewriting the content.
Check the final destination returns HTTP200, has readable content and no known conflicting canonical or noindex directive. Do not recommend a redirect when the canonical URL is available. Technical eligibility does not prove that Google has indexed the page.
Exclude self-links and source-to-target pairs already linked in main content. A navigation link does not automatically replace a useful contextual link. A partial scan can only report missing incoming links in the inspected set, not establish a sitewide orphan page.
Check the whole sequence: paragraph, any added sentence, anchor and target. Descriptive anchor text should be concise and relevant. Reject broad or misleading wording when it hides a different service, audience or location. There is no mandatory exact-match anchor quota.
Internal links connect pages on the same website. They help people navigate and help search engines discover and understand content. The purpose is a clearer linking structure, not an arbitrary link count or a promise to boost rankings.
Useful contextual internal links sit within an explanation where another page adds detail or a next step. Link text and the surrounding sentence work together. Repeating a keyword across different pages is not a substitute for checking relevance, and placing several links side by side can remove useful context.
A linking audit works with the website you have. It can connect a supporting article to a relevant guide or service without creating another page. If no suitable destination exists, record the gap for keyword research or content planning; do not manufacture a URL or pretend the link is already live.
For one page, consider both directions. An established article may introduce a newly published guide; that guide may also benefit from links to specific supporting material. Each direction needs its own reason. Reciprocal links are neither mandatory nor automatically wrong.
Use business priorities, actual coverage and available analytics to order the suggestions. If Google Search Console evidence is supplied, identify its date range and limits. Do not invent a proprietary authority metric, calculate imaginary link equity or turn a confidence label into predicted traffic.
An automated internal linking tool is an application. A skill is a reusable workflow for a tool-enabled AI agent. It defines the investigation, evidence and output; it does not include a hosted dashboard, SEO plugin or universal CMS connector.
A WordPress plugin may suggest internal links while you write inside the WordPress editor. This package instead returns reviewable edits from the agreed crawl or export. It does not install a WordPress dashboard setting or enable real-time insertion by default. Applying edits depends on authorized source or CMS access.
A language model assists analysis; HTTP access, a crawler or a readable export supplies the pages. Model credits and provider costs are separate. Configure the actual environment before a run. Do not assume enterprise capacity, unlimited bulk processing or an included monthly allowance.
The default is a proposal report. You can filter decisions by source, destination or status and manually review a before-and-after edit. The agent must not insert links automatically across your domain simply because it generated suggestions. A successful local edit is not proof of publishing.
This workflow does not acquire backlinks, perform outreach or sell external links. External references may support an article’s sources, but they are a different decision. For internal linking, optimize the relationship between your own pages without confusing link building with website navigation.
Set the scope before analysis and make the implementation decision after review. These controls keep an internal link audit useful without silently turning it into a bulk website rewrite.
Identify the subdomain, content section, language and excluded URLs. Keep blog posts distinct from product pages, archives and utility pages. The agent can analyze the agreed inventory, then filter proposed internal links by destination, source and status. A partial export is not a complete scan. These settings make the work specific rather than treating every page on a domain as an equally suitable target.
An HTTP200 response does not settle destination relevance. A page may have changed its topic or canonical since the first audit. Before you insert internal links, re-read the source paragraph and target page. Keep a broken link in the verification queue until an appropriate replacement is established. Redirecting every missing destination to the homepage does not preserve the original anchor promise.
The report identifies the heading, paragraph ID and complete proposed HTML. Your editor can review the actual change instead of guessing where to insert links. When several suggestions affect one paragraph, combine and validate them so one version does not overwrite another. The link assistant suggests an edit; it does not grant itself permission to send that edit to the CMS.
After a separately authorized release, check the visible anchor, href and target accessibility on the public page. Ongoing monitoring belongs to an agreed scope, not an assumed monthly plan. To assess SEO improvement, compare appropriate date windows and relevant metrics. A ranking change alone cannot prove that one internal link caused it.
These are different working environments. AIOSEO describes Link Assistant as a WordPress tool with contextual suggestions, editable anchors, reports and bulk review. Its internal link workflow lives inside that product. This skill returns an inspectable report with precise edits and evidence from the agreed website or export. If you want to manage links directly in WordPress, compare the plugin’s current capabilities. If you need a reviewable agent workflow across an approved inventory, inspect this package’s files and environment requirements. The skill is not an AIOSEO addon and does not include its subscription or a bundled connection. Choose by the interface, source access and output you need, not a claim that either option guarantees rankings. A tool’s ability to suggest relevant internal links does not remove the need for an editor to verify the destination.
AIOSEO official feature descriptionThe output keeps proposals separate from implementation. These are the workflow’s output contracts; their presence in this example is not evidence that your site has already been scanned.
A candidate edit to review. It is not an applied link.
Missing destination or paragraph evidence. Do not implement yet.
The transition failed the reader or technical checks. No insertion.
Applied means the authorized source was changed. Live verified means the public anchor and destination were checked separately.
The package includes workflow instructions, semantic review criteria and a proposal validator. Your agent prepares precise link edits; you review the context and destination before approving implementation. We confirm the files and supported setup before purchase.

I would like AI Internal Linking Skills. Environment: [workspace]. Website: [domain]. Scope: [blog / article / service]. Please confirm package price, files, dependencies, delivery, usage rights and support.
You request a reusable skill package. Your agent applies it to your website and produces recommendations and review files. A managed linking audit or implementation service is a separate agreement, not implied by the package enquiry.
Yes. Article mode looks for relevant outgoing and incoming links around a selected article. Service mode focuses on blog links to a chosen service. The report must state which parts of the site were inspected.
No. The workflow reduces repetitive discovery and prepares exact edits, but the target must support the anchor promise and the result needs review. If the source changes, the agent rechecks that edit rather than overwriting newer content.
Neither is mandatory for the content analysis. Readable pages or a suitable export are necessary. GSC can supply priority evidence, and implementation requires the right site access. Named tools are not automatically included integrations.
Google does not specify a magical ideal number. Add links when they help the reader and make the relationship clear. The skill does not impose a universal links-per-word rule or promise better rankings from larger link counts.
Confirm usage rights, supported environments, delivery and support for the actual release before payment. A file in a working export is not itself a license to redistribute it. Client access and private data require appropriate authorization.
The workflow checks source context, anchor text and destination relevance. The examples above are illustrative. Google’s link guidance explains crawlable links and useful anchor text.
